The Journey that Took Me Across the Ocean
This program teaches children about the special roles played by each member of a family, and about the skills a pioneer mother had to have.
The Homestead Is My Home
The children learn how pioneer families lived and how different family life is today.
My Family and My Neighbours
By exploring Ukrainian customs, the children learn that families of different backgrounds keep different traditions.
My Community in the Past
Through the example of a settler's community, the children learn how communities work and how people need one another to get by.
The Ukrainians in East Central Alberta
By comparing the geography and natural resources of Ukraine and East Central Alberta, the children learn how humans use and interact with their environment.
